D365 Introduction

The aim of this page is to provide insights about the basics of MS Dynamics 365 (D365).

What is Dynamics 365?

D365 is a product of Microsoft hosted on the cloud. It offers a platform for business applications to answer the different organization needs in terms of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) capabilities.

After you sign-up, you will enjoy and have time to check the different features of D365 (Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Project Service Automation, etc.)

 

Below are the different modules to know in order to understand Dynamics 365.

 

Dynamics 365 for Sales

Sales people use Dynamics 365 Sales modules to manage leads, close deals, track sales goals and improve their relationship with customers.

Dynamics 365 for Marketing

Marketing people use Dynamics 365 Marketing modules to create and manage marketing lists from accounts, contacts or leads entities. This provides them a workspace where they can plan and manage their campaigns.

A case that is already resolved can still be re-opened.

Targets to help in managing the mobile workforce, create and resolve cases.

Provides features for planning and managing projects.

Sample CRM & ERP Integration

CRM and ERP integration

This example process flow shows the integration of CRM & ERP in the Dynamics 365 world. The first two processes (lead generation and sales process) are part of CRM and then the next 2 processes (fulfillment and invoicing) are part ERP – D365 Supply Chain Management / D365 Finance.

The processes on Dynamics 365 are flexible and extensible based on your organization’s business rules.
